The next meeting of the Nepean / Blue Mountains Prostate Cancer Support
Group will be held at 6.30pm on Monday the 15 August in Lecture Room 1,
Learning & Development Unit, located in the Nepean 2 building, (formally
known as the SWAHS 2 building) Nepean Public Hospital.

Mark Geyer http://www.markgeyer.com.au/ has confirmed he is available as guest speaker for our meeting.

Mark will be a little different to our normal speaker, but with the same sincere wish to promote cancer awareness and early detection.

Aside being known as a past Panthers Rugby league legend, he was also awarded an AOM in 2013 for “service to the sport of Rugby League football, and to the community through a range of charitable organisations.” The info here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Geyer on WIKI also gives some more background.

He has also been instrumental in assisting with the success for local Cancer Councils Dart competitions, http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/west/nrl-icon-mark-geyer-and-other-celebrities-to-take-on-cancer-survivors-in-cancer-council-fundraising-challenge/story-fngr8i5s-1226721713469 at which we have participated, as detailed in the preceding link .

Mark will talk on his efforts in promoting  awareness locally and of the importance of good fitness and health, and his work locally in support of cancer awareness.

Invite your friends and family to join in.

All meetings are available to males and their partners who are seeking
information on this cancer, and who live in the Blacktown, Blue Mountains,
Hawkesbury and Penrith areas. Come along and experience the caring and
benefits offered by our Support Group whose motto is YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
