Hello Members and Network

You may recall that I let you know in January that we would be holding our postponed Christmas Party at Weir Reserve Penrith on 18 January 2021.

It was great to meet with some of our Group and visitors from Cancer Wellness Support and those that came on the night had a thoroughly enjoyable evening on the banks of the mighty Nepean with a glorious sunset in the background.

During the evening it was suggested that in February and March we should take advantage of daylight saving and have our February and March meetings at Weir Reserve as well.

So this is to let you know that our next meeting will be at Weir Reserve on 15 February 2021 commencing at 6 PM and our member and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse Liz McKervey will chat with us about her first 12 months in this role.

The only drawback is that you must bring your own chair.

If you wish to bring food and/or drinks then they are welcome as well as due to Covid no supper or food sharing will be available.

It is proposed that (casual) formalities will be over by 7 30 PM.

This venue is only suitable in fine weather and if the weather is inclement the meeting will still start at 6 PM but by Zoom and an invitation will be issued on the Monday afternoon.  If you haven’t attended a Zoom meeting with our Group before and/or have not received a previous invitation then please let me know – president@prostatesupport.org.au – so that I can put your email address on the invite list.

At our February meeting we will talk about options for face-to-face meetings as it is doubtful that we will be able to return to our venue at St Stephens Church Hall in the foreseeable future.

I hope to meet with you on 15 February at Weir Reserve, Bruce Neil Drive Penrith at 6 PM.
