Hello David,

Spring has sprung and we’re closing out the month of March with the April 2018 issue of the Hot SHEET newsletter from Us TOO.

We hope you can join us on Monday, April 2, at 8:00 pm ET for The Metastatic Prostate Cancer Project – a FREE webinar in collaboration with Answer Cancer Foundation, The Broad Institute, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Eliezer Van Allen, the project’s principal investigator, will lead the presentation and Q&A. We’ll discuss how researchers in this project take a new approach to speed up cancer research by asking men, who are managing metastatic and/or advanced prostate cancer, to share their samples and clinical information. Learn more about the project at: www.MPCproject.org; and find the webinar agenda and instructions for joining at: bit.ly/2DM78ba.

Prostate cancer patients and caregivers are invited to comment on a draft document on anti-androgen drugs for high-risk prostate cancer from The Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (icer-review.org). The report is expected to include enzalutamide (Xtandi®), abiraterone acetate (Zytiga®), and apalutamide (Erleada™). The draft scoping document is at: bit.ly/2DMqFs9. Comments should note what’s most important to patients about castration-resistant prostate cancer and address anything that’s been overlooked in the draft scope, information such as side effects, affordability, patient groups, and important treatment outcomes. Comments should be submitted as a Word document in 12-point Times New Roman font not to exceed three pages. Comments are accepted through Monday, April 2, 2018, and can be submitted as an email attachment to publiccomments@icer-review.org. For more information refer to The ICER Patient Participation Guide at: bit.ly/2FXzyoq, and The Stakeholder Engagement Guide at: bit.ly/2mVLSax.
