Until recently she was the Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse at the Chris O’Brien ‘Lifehouse’ in Sydney.

A message from Liz,

“I am based in the Cancer Care Centre at Nepean Hospital, however will see patients in all wards, pre-op and post-op. On treatment or off treatment, whatever they need. My role is very supportive care focused ensuring the patient, caregivers and family are all cared for. Counselling, information, education and research are all domains I have to focus on. I would be happy if any of the members had research ideas they wanted to pass onto me.”

Liz.

Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK)

The Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK) is an innovative system that enables people with disabilities to gain 24/7 access to a network of public facilities.

The MLAK system has been fitted to elevators at railway stations, accessible toilets in Council municipalities and National Parks and in adaptive playground equipment (Liberty Swing – see below) across Australia.

People with a disability are able to purchase an MLAK master key which will open all toilets, playgrounds and other facilities which are fitted with this specially designed lock.

Master Locksmith Access Key

MLAK keys are available for purchase from Business Members of the Association. To find your nearest Master Locksmith, please make use of our Locksmith Search facility.

Please note – it is the local Council’s or Municipalities decision to implement the system into its facilities. They will also determine whether these facilities are locked or unlocked during business hours for public access.

Who’s Eligible?

Eligibility is restricted to people who have a disability or have written authority from:

  • a doctor

  • a disability organisation

  • community health centre

  • the owner or management of a building with an accessible toilet on site

  • If you meet these criteria, please download the application: MLAK Application PDF
